Role

I am an experienced policy and public affairs professional with experience in building strong relationships with and influencing stakeholders within government departments, politicians and sector partners. My role entails raising Jisc’s profile and highlighting the value we bring to the sector as the go to digital and data body. Alongside this, I ensure that Jisc contributes to policy discussions in this area.

I also line manage some of Jisc’s business graduates and apprentices, supporting them to develop skills needed to make an impact in the sector.

Background

Prior to joining Jisc, I worked for a cancer charity and member of parliament. Outside of work, in 2022 I became an elected councillor and hold the role of vice chair for the People’s Overview and Scrutiny Committee and member champion for young people.
