Role
I have responsibility to ensure outstanding service for Jisc members and communities in both Northern Ireland and Scotland. For this dual role I split my time between both our Stirling and Belfast offices.
Background
Not long after graduating in law with French law from University College London, my passion for education led to a lectureship at the University of Abertay Dundee. Whilst specialising in European law, consumer law and then IT law, I became an enthusiastic adopter of technology in teaching (including use of online self-assessment with large classes, delivering learning material through a virtual learning environment, and use of video for teaching and feedback). I also gained valuable experience through undertaking a secondment as head of law.
In 2004, I moved on to become service manager at Jisc Legal. I championed effective use of technology, such as webcasting and use of voting pads.
