About the community
Hosted by the University of Central Lancashire’s ‘Centre for Collaborative Learning’, the DigiLearn Sector is an award-winning initiative and sector-wide hub for active collaboration and knowledge exchange.
The community has more than 1,300 members representing over 350 organisations worldwide and hosts an exciting range of development opportunities and events. These include a regular webinar series and active blog site – showcasing a diverse community of educational champions and their innovative practices.
The DigiLearn Sector has a clear set of values and aims:
- Connect and communicate - to establish a vibrant, cross-sector community network, to nurture the organic exchange of knowledge and ideas
- Participate and innovate - to promote a culture that embraces participation, inspires innovation, and builds confidence in colleagues to evolve and enhance their personal and professional practice
- Develop and support - to facilitate inclusive CPD opportunities which are informed by current practice, and readily accessible to all with an interest in educational technology
- Share and collaborate - to foster the development of mutually beneficial connections between like-minded individuals with a shared vision, goal, or passion
- Celebrate and promote - to showcase and celebrate authentic and contemporary examples of technology- enhanced practice from diverse educational organisations and strategic industry partners
Who can join
The DigiLearn Sector is free to join and open to anyone with an interest in educational technology and the development of digital skills and practices. The community regularly welcomes new members from across HE, FE, schools and beyond.
