About HESA data, powered by Jisc

HESA data is the cornerstone of higher education analytics in the UK, providing vital insights into various aspects of higher education. As the designated data body (DDB) for England, we ensure the highest standards of data quality and reliability, offering trusted and authoritative data for your analysis and decision-making needs.

Guide to pricing and banding

How much Heidi Plus access will cost depends on a number of factors.

If you are a higher education provider costs will depend on how many students you have according to the latest HESA data, if you have agreed to category 1 onward sharing of your HESA data, and how many users you want to give access to Heidi Plus.

For higher education providers who have agreed to category 1 sharing, cost bandings are based on your latest student numbers. You can have an unlimited number of users.

For those who haven’t agreed to share their data in Heidi Plus but want access to sector data the subscription will be higher. You can find more information about categories for sharing data on the HESA web pages. This is agreed as part of your HESA subscription and can be changed by contacting the HESA liaison team by emailing liaison@hesa.ac.uk.

If you’re not a higher education provider, there are two options depending on how many users you would like to have access to Heidi Plus.
