186953 - Peering issue affecting Gamma/VOIP services

Our engineers have been making ongoing adjustments to the 20Gb aggregate at Harbour Exchange. By redirecting a customer with high utilisation, we've observed a further reduction in latency.

Since the remote fix has successfully lowered latency, the fibre cleaning has been postponed.

Could all affected customers please confirm if VOIP services have improved since the change.

If you have problems with network access or you need advice on network related matters, please contact the nominated person in your organisation (eg computing services or your IT officer).

All organisations with a primary connection to the Janet Network will have been provided with a fault reporting letter detailing the appropriate ways to contact Jisc if you are experiencing issues with your Janet connection.
